I just took your PDS course for Florida and Virginia and Utah, and I must say that you not only made it enjoyable but informative. I would wholeheartedly recommend that anyone wishing to obtain a non resident CCW take Dr. Eimer's course. Nice person, great course and of course a great support staff! Thank you again!

I received my Don Hume holster yesterday and went to the range today to work with it and I have to say I am extremely happy with it. The quality is outstanding and the performance is the best I have ever used. Thank you for such a fine product.

I attended class on June 9th and really appreciated how quickly it was handled. I got both Florida and Virginia paperwork. Virginia was back in three weeks and Florida in six. Also like the new links to your web site. Great job, thanks. Will tell my friends!!!!!

  31 State Non-Resident CCW Permit Class

Let us help you acquire the most useful multi-state concealed firearms permits in the United States - the closest thing to a National License To Carry Firearms. Our 31-State Non-Resident Carry Permit Class provides a "one-stop shop" for law-abiding gun owners to do all the paperwork needed to apply for both the Florida and Virginia Non-Resident CCW permits.

The Florida Permit is now valid for 7 years! The Virginia Permit is valid for 5 years.

The FL Non-Resident CCW permit is recognized by 31 States:

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wyoming

The VA Non-Resident CCW permit is recognized by 22 States:

Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia

The value of obtaining the Virginia CCW Permit in addition to Florida’s is that it serves as a back-up given that state attorney generals’ inter-state reciprocity agreements change unpredictably. When you acquire the Virginia permit, you are covered should certain states drop out of their agreements with Florida and vice versa.

One-Stop Shop:
We supply all the necessary services in one place, for your convenience, so that you do not have to run around: application packets, assistance in completing all forms, notary, required passport photos, fingerprinting, and the required handgun safety and concealed carry class which includes a live fire range qualification. After class completion, you’ll receive a Certificate of Training which you must include in your application packets.

UTAH PERMIT CLASS: At each class location, we now also offer a separate class for the valuable Utah Non-Resident 29 State Carry Permit. You can take this class in addition to the Florida and Virginia Carry Permit Class. With the Utah Permit added to the Florida and Virginia CCW Permits, you can legally carry in 33 states! The additional fee for the Utah class is $150. payable in cash at the class. In addition, after you receive the Non-resident Florida and Virginia CCW permits, if you apply for the New Hampshire Non-resident handgun license and the Maine Non-resident handgun license you will be able to legally carry in 35 states!

Our program is intended to assist honest gun owners in exercising their Second Amendment rights, by making Florida and Virginia Non-Resident Multi-State Carry Permits obtainable by all qualified law abiding citizens, including New Jersey, New York, Maryland and Delaware residents. Even residents of "gun friendly" states such as PA who hold their own state's license to carry firearms, can benefit from the expanded coverage afforded by the Florida and Virginia carry permits.

How To Calculate Your Class Fee:

  • If you want to apply for BOTH the Florida and Virginia Non-Resident Carry Permits AND you need the Basic Handgun Safety Class, your fee is: $150 (Recommended).
  • If you want to apply for BOTH the Florida and Virginia Non-Resident Carry Permits but you do NOT need the Basic Handgun Safety Class, your paperwork only fee is: $100.
  • If you want to apply for ONLY the Florida Non-Resident Carry Permit AND you need the Basic Handgun Safety Class, your fee is: $100.
  • If you want to apply for ONLY the Virginia Non-Resident Carry Permit AND you need the Basic Handgun Safety Class, your fee is: $100.
  • If you want to apply for ONLY the Florida Non-Resident Carry Permit and you do NOT need the Basic Handgun Safety Class, your paperwork only fee is: $50.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. NO LOADED FIREARMS ARE ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM.

2. WE SUPPLY THE HANDGUN AND AMMO FOR YOUR RANGE QUALIFICATION. Dr. Eimer regularly does gun tests and reviews for gun magazines, so you just might have the opportunity to shoot one of the latest new pistols or revolvers on the market!

3. The fees for our services do not include the $117. fee (certified bank check or money order) that the State of the Florida charges for the seven-year Concealed Carry Weapons/Handgun License, or the $100. fee (certified check or money order) that Virginia charges for their five-year carry license. DO NOT BRING THESE FEES TO THE CLASS.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION OF HANDGUN COMPETENCE
Florida and Virginia law do not include a specific classroom training requirement for the issuance of a concealed weapon license. Rather, their laws require the applicant to submit documentation demonstrating proficiency with a firearm and they allow a number of different types of documentation:

  • Any “approved” hunter education or hunter safety course certificate that has NRA instructor’s NRA certification number on it along with his or her printed name and signature;
  • Any National Rifle Association firearms safety or training course certificate of completion that has the NRA instructor’s NRA certification number on it along with his or her printed name and signature;
  • A certificate of completion of any firearm safety or training course or class available to the general public offered by a law enforcement agency, junior college, college, or private or public institution or organization or firearms training school, utilizing instructors certified by the National Rifle Association, the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission, or the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, along with their names and accepted firearms trainer certification numbers;
  • A certificate of completion of any law enforcement firearms safety or training course or class offered for security guards, investigators, special deputies, or any division or subdivision of law enforcement or security enforcement  that has the instructor’s law enforcement firearms instructor certification number on it along with his or her printed name and signature;
  • Active-duty and retired law enforcement personnel need only submit documentation reflecting their status as currently sworn law enforcement officers or law enforcement retirees.  Active-duty officers usually submit copies of their commission paperwork.  Retirees usually submit formal statements on their former employers' letterhead indicating retiree status;
  • An applicant who served in the Armed Forces and was honorably discharged can submit a copy of his DD Form 214;
  • Current members of the Armed Forces can now submit either of the following documents to confirm firearms proficiency: (1) a copy of their military orders (for example, the letter calling them to active-duty), OR (2) a statement of military service signed by the base's personnel officer or commander of the unit.  This letter must identify the applicant specifically and provide his/her date of entry;
  • A certificate of completion of any firearms training or safety course or class conducted by a state-certified firearms instructor or by an instructor certified by the National Rifle Association, that has the instructor’s NRA certification number on it along with his or her printed name and signature.

NOTE: These are the basic requirements as they are set forth in Florida’s and Virginia’s laws.  Our class meets these requirements and the Certificate of Completion of our class routinely is accepted by Florida and Virginia as proof of the required training.

RECOGNIZE that you can choose to just do the application paperwork with us and not take our class, if you can submit with your applications to Florida and Virginia any of the forms of proof of “firearms/handgun competence or proficiency” listed aboveWe do not and cannot evaluate the legal validity of your documentation papers. A percentage of people who have only done the paperwork with us, who have not taken our class, and who have submitted these other forms of documentation, have been turned down in the past by both Florida and Virginia for insufficient documentation of training.

After having conducted these classes with thousands of students, we at Personal Defense Solutions, LLC (PDS, LLC) cannot reasonably confidently predict if your application will be approved unless you (1) do not have any disqualifying legal issues and pass Florida and Virginia’s criminal background investigations, AND (2) you complete our class and submit our certificate of completion.

PERMIT RENEWAL APPLICATIONS: At each scheduled class, we can also help you fill out your CCW Permit renewal applications for Florida, Virginia and Utah. We charge a $50.00 paperwork fee for renewal applications for each of these states, payable at the class, for our notary, color passport photo and fingerprinting costs. Taking the concealed carry/handgun safety class is not necessary for renewals.

Testimonials

I wanted to thank you again for the great training; I really enjoyed your class. I just received both my Florida and Virginia carry permits! I hope you and your family had a great holiday and have a very Happy New Year.

Sincerely,
Ryan K.

You probably don't remember me but I took your private Florida concealed weapons permit course about 2.5 years ago. I just wanted to say that I still remember the class and that now I'm an NRA certified pistol instructor giving concealed weapon classes, range safety officer, reloading instructor and the chief instructor for the Ocala Sportsman Association. I just wanted to once again say thank you for a great class.

A few hours after I sent you that email on Friday, April 24th, I received my holster and I cannot tell enough people how happy I am with my purchase. I have been giving your web address to several people. Thank you. And once more I am very happy with my purchase, it is an excellent holster.
